WINTERING

Retreat Day:

A softer way to begin the year

🗓 Date: Saturday 10th January
Time: 12pm – 7pm
📍 Location: Yoga for the People, Huyton
💷 Investment: £125

Winter was never meant to feel like a sprint.

January often arrives loaded with pressure — new goals, new routines, new rules — as if we should immediately undo the joy, rest, and indulgence of December.

But it’s still winter.

The days are short.
The body is tired.
Nature is resting.

This retreat is a conscious rejection of the “new year, new you” energy — and an invitation to slow down, soften, and ease into the year gently.🥰

This day is for you if…

  • January usually feels slow, heavy, or overwhelming

  • You’re tired of guilt, pressure, and unrealistic expectations

  • You want rest — real rest, not just time off work

  • You’re craving warmth, nourishment, and connection

  • You want to start the year with compassion instead of force

You don’t need goals.
You don’t need motivation.
You don’t need to be “better” or different.

You just need to arrive as you are.

What the day includes

A slow, spacious, 7-hour wintering retreat, held in a warm, cosy, intimate studio.

✨ Gentle yoga, meditation & somatic embodiment practices.
Slow, nourishing movement to support your nervous system and help your body land.

A restorative sound journey for deep rest and integration.

✨ Cosy hot drinks
Coffee, cacao, or warm comforting drinks from the café downstairs.

✨ Homemade treats
Because pleasure is part of nourishment.

Shared together — no rushing, no multitasking, just warmth and connection.

How you’ll leave feeling

✨ rested
✨ grounded
✨ full — emotionally and physically
✨ relieved of January “shoulds”
✨ confident choosing a slower pace this winter

This day isn’t about preparing you to do more.
It’s about allowing yourself to be
